Our pharmacy team supports your cancer care
TMC Health Cancer Center has a team of dedicated clinical pharmacists who work with your doctor to make sure your medications are filled safely and correctly.

In-office prescription services
TMC Health Cancer Center offers an in-office pharmacy service to fill cancer-related and supportive care medications. This service works like your typical retail pharmacy but with extra care from experts who understand your cancer treatment.
Getting your medications through our service means you can receive on-site education and have your questions answered by nurses and pharmacy staff.
Your pharmacist is part of your care team
A pharmacist trained in cancer care will be part of your medical team. The pharmacist will:
- Work with your doctors and other pharmacies to ensure medications are safe and effective.
- Help prevent negative drug interactions so you can take medications as prescribed.
- Provide expert advice about your prescriptions.
Our staff also helps with refills, tracks medication effects, and checks in on any symptoms or concerns you may have. This close monitoring helps your doctor adjust treatment as needed for the best care.

Why use the in-office pharmacy?
- Expert care: Specialty-trained, board-certified pharmacists work with you, your oncologist and other providers to ensure safe, effective treatment.
- Easy access: Call or email your oncology pharmacist anytime with questions.
- Ongoing support: Your pharmacist will check in on you to manage your medications.
- Side effect management: Get help with symptoms to avoid ER or urgent care visits.
- Financial assistance: Support is available to help with medication costs.
- Convenience: Receive your medications directly from the care team that knows you best.
Prescription and benefits coverage
Our office works with most prescription benefit providers, including Medicare Part B and Part D. In some cases, using our in-office pharmacy may be more affordable than retail or specialty pharmacies.
Our team reviews your insurance and looks for co-payment assistance options. If needed, we will work with you to match competitor prices.
Whenever possible, we provide prescriptions during your office visit. If not, we will call to arrange pickup or delivery for your medications.
Prescribing oncology-specific medications
When your doctor prescribes specialized cancer medications, our team works with your insurance to get approval and ensure the medications are available in our office. This makes starting treatment easier and reduces delays.
Our in-office pharmacy offers both convenience and expert support to help you through the process.
